Mariana Castillo

DIRECTOR

Welcome to Key Point Academy Doral!

My name is Mariana Castillo. I am the Director of Key Point Academy Doral. I was born and raised in Barquisimeto, Venezuela and moved to Miami in 2015. I have two beautiful daughters: Maria Claudia 13 and Lara 8. Some of my favorite pastimes involve spending time outdoors with my daughters and going to the beach.

I have a Law Degree from Universidad Santa Maria In Venezuela. After some years in this field, I realized that my true passion was working with young children. In 2007, I graduated with a Degree in Early Childhood Education from Instituto Universitario Avepane. I currently have over 17 years of experience working in the field both as teacher and administrator.

My mission as an educator and director, is to nurture our students’ imagination through innovative activities and support families by cultivating a positive environment where approachability and effective communication are prioritized. I believe that by working together, we can create a safe and enriching experience for your child during these very important early years!

Janelix Monsanto

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

I am delighted to introduce myself as Janelix Monsanto, your Assistant Director. Originally from San Cristobal, Venezuela, I moved to the United States in 2016 with my husband and our two beautiful daughters, Marcela (13) and Anabella (7). My family is my greatest joy! During my free time, I enjoy exercising, spending time with my family, and traveling.

With a background in Industrial Engineering, I embarked on a journey to further enrich my skills and passions by obtaining a certificate in Early Childhood Education. Now entering my fifth year as part of the Key Point Academy family, I have had the privilege of serving in various roles, from teaching at our Coral Gables campus to my current position as Assistant Director at our Doral campus. Working with children has always been a passion of mine. They are the spark of life, and I find immense joy in working with them daily. As a teacher, I cherished welcoming them in the morning and witnessing their growth and development each day.

As Assistant Director, I aim to cultivate a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive. I believe in the power of collaboration with teachers, parents, and the community to uphold educational excellence, support staff development, and ensure the holistic growth of each child. My ultimate goal is to instill a love for learning that extends far beyond the preschool years.
